Your words of life or death ripple out

Your words have a rippling effect on those around you.

Fact #1: Throughout the course of a lifetime one will encounter approximately 80,000 people.

Fact #2: There will be those you will encounter only for a moments time and never really get to know them.

Fact #3: There will be those you will encounter, get to know, and interact with on a regular basis. For example, those in your work place, school, church, etc.

My Experience:

As time passes, there are more and more encounters with those around you. Through those encounters those individuals begin to share their lives. My experience has been that there will be those I may not even know well that will open up and decide to tell me their life story. These encounters are not by accident.

The Great Need and the Solution:

I have encountered those who were in a time of hopelessness, fear, hate, anger, sickness, etc. I did not have the human answers for their situations, and I was not able to immediately help them. The Lord simply whispered a few words to my mind as I communicated with them …”speak life.” As followers of Jesus Christ, we know that all life comes from Him.

The Word of God reveals to us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21 KJV) Only our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, has the ability to transform a situation that our friend, family, or brother and sister in Christ, may be encountering. In that moment, He allows us to minister to them life from His Spirit and His Word or we can also minister to them death with crushing words and unGodly advice.

As The Lord says; “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.” (Matthew 5:14 KJV) We are the light in this dark world. With that great responsibility, we are to speak life one to another.
