This object lesson was inspired by a long overdue oil change in my car. Without changing the oil, the engine cannot function properly which can lead to very costly damages. As I entered a gas station in a little town in the middle of northern BC, this is what I heard:
“Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.” 1 Chronicles 16:8
